The main promoter and majority shareholder of IPRO is CIEL Ltd (www.cielgroup.com), which is a leading diversified investment organisation in Mauritius with business activities across Africa (Tanzania, Madagascar, Mauritius, Kenya and Botswana) and Asia (India, Bangladesh). CIEL Ltd is listed on the Official Market of the Stock Exchange of Mauritius and operates in five business sectors namely Agro & Property, Textile, Hotels & Resorts, Finance and Healthcare. CIEL has a market capitalisation of about Rs 10 billion (USD 333 million) and employs in excess of 27,000 committed employees worldwide. One of the strongest institutions in Mauritius, CIEL Ltd has been built on integrity, hard work, a spirit of entrepreneurship and a solid sense of partnerships.

The second institutional shareholder is Amethis Finance, which is a USD 530 million private equity fund dedicated to long-term responsible financing in Africa. The fund is headed by Luc Rigouzzo and Laurent Demey (previously CEO and Deputy CEO of PROPARCO) and its main sponsor is Edmond de Rothschild Private Equity. The investment team, African in its majority, has collectively invested in equity or debt in more than 200 companies across Africa.
